Workmanship Warranty

Effective August 20, 2026

365 Restoration warrants its labor and workmanship for 12 months from the date of substantial completion. This page is the written warranty referenced on your Certificate of Completion. Where your signed contract says something different, the signed contract controls.

What is covered

  • Labor and workmanship on reconstruction and repair work we performed, for twelve months from the date of substantial completion.
  • Correction of defects in our installation — including drywall, trim, paint, flooring and cabinetry we installed — at no charge to you.
  • Re-performance of mitigation work that failed to meet the documented drying goal recorded on your job.

What is not covered

  • Materials, appliances and fixtures, which carry only the manufacturer's own warranty. We will help you make a manufacturer claim.
  • Damage from a new loss, a new leak, storm, flood, freeze, fire, impact, pest activity or vandalism after completion.
  • Damage caused by a moisture source we identified in writing that was not corrected — for example an ongoing roof, plumbing, grading or crawlspace ventilation problem.
  • Normal settling, hairline cracking, nail pops, grout and caulk shrinkage, and normal wear.
  • Work performed by you or by another contractor, and any work you directed us to perform against our written recommendation.
  • Any consequential, incidental or secondary damages, and any loss of use, rent or income.
  • Work for which we have not been paid in full.

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Call or email us with your job reference, the address and a short description of the problem.
  2. Send photos where you can — it usually lets us diagnose before we schedule.
  3. We will inspect within a reasonable time, normally within ten business days of your notice.
  4. If the item is covered we schedule the correction at no charge. If it is not, we tell you why in writing and quote the repair.

Call (757) 403-9958 or email steve@randrva.com. Notice must be given during the warranty period.

Limits of this warranty

This warranty is in addition to any rights you have under Virginia law and is not transferable to a later owner unless we agree in writing. It replaces any implied warranty to the fullest extent Virginia law permits, and our total obligation under it is limited to correcting the covered work.

Mold remediation — what we can and cannot promise

Mold remediation removes mold that is present and returns the area to a normal fungal ecology confirmed by post-remediation verification. It is not a guarantee that mold will never return. Mold grows wherever moisture is present, so remediation only holds when the moisture source is corrected and kept corrected. Where we identify a moisture source in writing that is outside our scope — a roof, plumbing, grading, drainage or ventilation problem — correcting it is the property owner's responsibility, and recurrence caused by an uncorrected source is not covered by any warranty.

  • We work to the IICRC S520 standard and define success as clearance, not as a visual guess.
  • Independent lab testing through Sporecyte establishes the before and after condition. We do not grade our own work.
  • We are not medical providers. We do not diagnose health conditions or tell you whether a property is safe to occupy — ask your physician or your local health department.
  • Air sampling reflects conditions at the moment of sampling. Results can change with weather, occupancy and HVAC operation.

Payment terms

  • Emergency mitigation is invoiced on completion of the mitigation phase. Reconstruction is invoiced by progress draw as agreed in your contract, with the final draw due at substantial completion.
  • Invoices are due on receipt unless the contract states otherwise. Payment is not contingent on when your carrier pays us or you.
  • Balances unpaid thirty days after the invoice date accrue a late charge of one and one-half percent per month (eighteen percent per year), or the maximum Virginia law allows, whichever is less.
  • If we have to place an account for collection you are responsible for reasonable collection costs and attorney's fees to the extent Virginia law permits.
  • We accept check, ACH, and major credit cards. Card payments may carry a processing fee, disclosed before you pay.
  • We do not pay, waive, absorb or rebate insurance deductibles — Virginia law prohibits it.
  • We retain mechanic's lien rights on unpaid balances and release them by written lien waiver as payments clear.
