Lab-analyzed by Sporecyte
Indoor air quality testing
Find out what you're breathing. We sample your air, the lab reads it, and you get a clear report with a plan. If something's wrong, the same licensed team fixes it and re-tests to prove it.
Serving Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg and Richmond.
Signs you should test
- Musty or earthy smell that won't go away
- Allergy, asthma or headache flare-ups indoors
- After a leak, flood or water damage
- After a fire or smoke event
- Buying, selling or renting a home
- Visible mold or staining on walls or ceilings
- New baby or someone with a weak immune system
- Clearance after mold remediation
What we test
Airborne mold spores
Spore types and counts in each room, compared against the outdoor air.
Surface sampling
Tape or swab samples from staining or visible growth, identified by the lab.
Moisture & humidity
Meters and thermal imaging to find the wet material feeding the problem.
After fire or smoke
An inspection for lingering soot and odor sources after a fire loss.
We don't test for radon, asbestos or carbon monoxide. If we suspect asbestos or lead, we say so and refer it to a licensed specialist.
How a test works
- 01
Walkthrough & moisture check
We look for the source first: smell, staining, humidity and hidden moisture behind walls and in crawl spaces.
- 02
Air & surface sampling
Sporecyte air samples inside and an outdoor baseline, plus surface samples where something is visible.
- 03
Lab analysis
Samples go to the lab for microscopy. Spore types and counts are compared room by room against the outdoor air.
- 04
Plain-English report
What was found, where, how it compares to outside, and what it means for your household.
- 05
Action plan & clearance
If there's a problem we write the fix: remediation, odor removal, drying or duct cleaning. Then we re-test to prove it passed.

A report you can actually read
Every test comes back as a lab report with spore types and counts by room, compared to the outdoor air. We add a plain-English summary and a written plan, useful for your family, a home sale, a landlord or an insurance claim.

Questions
What does indoor air quality testing check for?
Our testing focuses on airborne mold spores and moisture problems, the most common cause of poor indoor air in Hampton Roads homes. We take air samples in the rooms of concern plus an outdoor baseline, and surface samples where growth is visible, then send them to the lab for microscopy.
How do I know if I need an air quality test?
Common reasons are a musty smell, allergy or asthma symptoms that get better when you leave the house, a recent leak or flood, visible staining, buying or selling a home, or confirming that mold remediation worked.
How long until I get results?
Samples go to the lab after the visit and most reports come back within a few business days. We walk you through the results in plain English.
What happens if the test finds a problem?
We write an action plan from the results. Because we are a licensed, IICRC-certified restoration company, the same team can handle mold remediation, drying, odor removal and duct cleaning, then re-test to confirm the air passed.
Do you test for radon, asbestos or carbon monoxide?
No. Our air quality testing covers mold and moisture. If we suspect asbestos or lead before any demolition, we tell you and refer that testing to a licensed specialist.
