HAMPTON ROADS & RICHMOND · 24/7
Free Water Damage Inspection
A stain on the ceiling, a smell you cannot place, a leak you already fixed — we come out, meter the materials and tell you what is actually wet. No charge, and no pressure to file a claim if the loss does not warrant one.
What the inspection includes
- Walk-through with you to find the source, not just the stain
- Moisture meter readings on drywall, framing, subfloor and slab
- Thermal imaging to trace water behind finishes
- Humidity and temperature readings for the affected rooms
- Photo documentation of every affected area
- Category and class of water loss identified per IICRC S500
- A written scope priced in Xactimate — the platform adjusters use
- A straight answer on whether the loss is worth a claim
How it works
- STEP 1
Call or request online
A real person answers 24/7. For an active leak we dispatch immediately rather than scheduling an inspection.
- STEP 2
On-site assessment
60 minute average arrival across Hampton Roads. We locate the source and map how far the water actually travelled.
- STEP 3
Findings explained on the spot
You see the readings and the thermal images while we are there, along with what needs to dry and what needs to come out.
- STEP 4
Written scope and claim guidance
You get the Xactimate scope and, if you file, we handle the carrier from there and bill them direct.
Common questions
- Is the inspection really free?
- Yes for standard residential and commercial water losses in our service area. There is no obligation to hire us or to file a claim afterward.
- How soon should I have it looked at?
- Within 24 to 48 hours. Materials dried inside that window are usually saved; past about 72 hours the same water becomes a mold remediation and rebuild.
- Will it hurt my insurance to have you inspect?
- No. An inspection is not a claim. We give you the scope and the readings so you can decide whether the repair cost justifies filing against your deductible.
- Do you inspect before a home purchase?
- Yes. We do moisture and mold assessments for buyers, sellers and landlords, with photo documentation you can hand to the other party.
